Food Forest Project

Hopewell is converting some of the lawn space into a food forest.  A food forest is a place where nut trees, fruit trees, berry bushes, herbs, and other useful plants grow together in an ecologically sustainable way.  This will reduce some of the workload of keeping the church’s grounds mowed, but mostly to create another way that the church can assist our surrounding community.

If you are interested in learning more about this new mission, the church is hosting a public goal-seeing meeting on Wednesday, February 13th, at 6:30 in the sanctuary immediately following the Wednesday night supper.  This meeting will look for input from church members as well as Jenkins Road teachers and students and other interested people in the community.

If you would like to be involved in helping guide the project, call, text, or email Sandy Golden at 404-423-9279 or
