Sunday School – Hopewell United Methodist Church

Sunday School

We hope you will join us in studying the Word in a more in-depth way with our various small groups.

We offer various classes, all starting at 9:30 am on Sundays. Children have a multi-age Sunday School in the KidZone area. Youth (middle school and high school students) meet in the Youth room with the Youth Minister.  Classes for adults are listed below.

Dallie Sunshine.  A group of believers ages 50-70.

Our Generation.  A mixed-age class using short-term studies to help them apply the Bible to their lives. If you have a busy schedule that precludes time for “homework” or if you want a group that occasionally meets together for fellowship outside of Sunday mornings, this is the class for you. Teacher: Dale Morrison.

Seekers.  Open to people of any age and religious background, Seekers is for those curious about dimensions of the Christian faith. The class is currently working through the Intervarsity publication, Discipleship Essentials. Members share their perspectives as we explore scripture and the writings of respected believers across the ages.  Teacher: Sandy Golden.

Serendipity.  A group of believers, 40-70, who study, discuss, and apply God’s word in our lives. When we meet, we share praises, prayer concerns, and “Godwinks”. The class does in-depth studies of various books of the Bible and Christian nonfiction. Our discussions yield inspiration for each of us to carry with us and share with others throughout the week and apply to everyday life.  Teacher: Sharon Collins.
